Stats

You might or might not know that I work on EasyUbuntu.

Anyways, we released a beta on April 25th. Since then, we have about 3237 downloads in April, and 4580 downloads in May! A total of 7817 (and counting) downloads in 17 days!

Makes you feel nice, doesn’t it :)

BTW, this beta of EasyUbuntu supports Breezy/Dapper, Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Xubuntu and X86/PowerPC/Amd64 architectures. Go on, download away!

    Easyubuntu looks great – but I am having some problems with it – couldn’t see anywhere to seek support. Any pointers?

    At the risk of clogging this thread, the following are the error messages I get.

    (synaptic:14420): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtkaccellabelsetaccelclosure: assertion `gtkaccelgroupfromaccelclosure (accel_closure) != NULL’ failed

    (synaptic:14420): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtkaccellabelsetaccelclosure: assertion `gtkaccelgroupfromaccelclosure (accel_closure) != NULL’ failed
    In Install ['/usr/sbin/synaptic', '--hide-main-window', '--non-interactive', '-o =dir::etc=/home/jack/easyubuntu/conf', '-o=dir::etc::sourcelist=sources.list', ' --set-selections']

    Please don’t ask for support here! You can ask in the EasyUbuntu section of the forums http://www.ubuntuforums.org or on irc (irc.freenode.net #easyubuntu)

    Btw, you can ignore those errors. Those occur when you start any gtk app from the console.

    I must say: you have really improved the prog since the new versions. The old one was kind of buggy but this one is ready to be recommended to all newbies -AND all other ubuntu users who want the job quickly done after reinstalling. Great job!

    easyubuntu sounds great. But I can expect many people who would be interested in having it will be scared away with 4 lines of commandlines they have to copy-paste. I wonder would it be possible to add to synaptic repository? So guide would be: 1) add this string as source to repositories 2) update 3) install easyubuntu
