Online bookmarks, take 2

I found a couple of nice pieces of software, namely wikilink and ol’bookmarks . Both of them look neat, and kind of solve all my problems of bookmark sharing. I can even sync my browsers with it.

Of course, Murphy can’t stay out of it.

Both use a Mysql database, and on this free hosting, I can have only one database, which of course is dedicated to running this blog. Any ideas bigmouth, coolkat, anyone???

Update:

I got lilina working on my site. Thankfully, it doesn’t use a mysql database! Anyways, it won’t be public until i get all of my feeds in there, and get it to use the same style sheet at the one I am using right now. Maybe, by this weekend, I should get it working, and y’all can read what I am reading! That’s a goodbye to amphetadesk, i guess! Thanks, bigmouth!

Another Update:

Thanks to bigmouth informing that I just need to have one mysql database setup, and have the apps use different tables, I managed to setup both wikilink and ol’bookmarks, and i liked ol’bookmarks better.

You can get to read all my links here . I even have a slashdot theme!

Rocker, philosopher, Mac lover, geek, robotics freak and an optimist. These describe me adequately, i guess! When I find time away from my lab, I love to code my robots using java to be compatible with robocode . I also make it a point to visit Slashdot or read on Wikipedia . Of course, all this has to be done while listening to Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Metallica or Pearl Jam, mostly on Shoutcast online radio . I also like to read. Though I don't find much time now, I generally stick to what I like, which is Ayn Rand. Let's just hope the world heads in the right direction 2004 has been the year of the blog, and I could not be left out!

    Hey,

one db is more than enough, cause they’re gonna create their own tables anyways. You can run any number of tables of different apps on the same db. Don’t let that stop you.
