delicious and delirious

These two are social online bookamark services. del.icio.us was the first one, and de.lirio.us is the open sourced version, which you can run if you have a server somewhere.

Anyways, del.icio.us has more features, like cocoalicious, which is a Mac client to manage your del.icio.us bookmarks. Since this is open-source too, it shouldn’t be too difficult to make it to transfer to de.lirio.us too (this currently lacks a API for development, but this shud go away soon.) Both lack a way of transferring your current bookmarks to these services.

Both these services are pretty useful to access your bookmarks from any computer online. I personally move around a lot, using 2 windoze machines and a powerbook.

I’ve been trying to write a Perl script which removes all the tags, and copies the headers and posts them to the del.icio.us site. It would make life a lot easier :) But, I am having trouble with the regexes, so looks like it’s gonna take some more time!
