WordPress Spamming Google

I’ve used WordPress for about 4 months now. Am I still using WordPress. But this totally sucks. I read about this article in Slashdot. And here is the link to the article. Here is the link. . The impression of people is gonna be interesting!

Currently, downloading a video announcement by Matt, the main guy behind WordPress. Will post an update abt it a bit later!

Update: Din’t watch the movie. It was too boring. Anyways, I decided the best thing to do is to remove the link to WordPress.org at the bottom of my page. God only knows how many times I have linked to wordpress in my previous posts. Also removed the link to WordPress from my side-link. Right now, I don’t think moving to another blogging system isn’t the rational decision.

The software is open-source, and Matt is not the only guy doing stuff here, there are others too. Let’s just hope this stops. (Last I checked, the links were still there )

WordPress.org has been removed from Google’s results. This is especially after Google punished itself for cloaking .

About robotgeek

Rocker, philosopher, Mac lover, geek, robotics freak and an optimist. These describe me adequately, i guess! When I find time away from my lab, I love to code my robots using java to be compatible with robocode . I also make it a point to visit Slashdot or read on Wikipedia . Of course, all this has to be done while listening to Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Metallica or Pearl Jam, mostly on Shoutcast online radio . I also like to read. Though I don't find much time now, I generally stick to what I like, which is Ayn Rand. Let's just hope the world heads in the right direction 2004 has been the year of the blog, and I could not be left out!

    Strange, and very interesting.

Slashdot now has a whole new view of Google that i never knew about ! A lot of reading to be done upon this.

PS: I see you’ve for yourself copyrighted too ! :P Creative commons rules !

Reply from blog Owner: The theme is distributed in the creative commons license. I believe in GPL for code, and art stuff can be done under the CC license.
